April's Outreach Recipient: Unitarian Service Committee (USC)
During the month of April, half of our Sunday morning Outreach/Inreach collections will be donated to USC Canada, whose mission is, in part, "to promote vibrant family farms, strong rural communities, and healthy ecosystems around the world". The USC supports "programs, training and policies that strengthen biodiversity, food sovereignty and the rights of those at the heart of resilient food systems: women, indigenous peoples and small-scale farmers." (Quotes from their website).
Thank you for your support of this worthwhile organization! (Please make cheques payable to the North Shore Unitarian Church).
Summary of March's Outreach Accomplishments
Our Outreach Recipient during March was our Partner Church in Hungary. We raised a total of $2,203.90 during our Sunday morning offerings, and an additional $1,236.83 at our Anniversary/Installation event, totaling $2,440.73 for our Partner Church!
At our Anniversary/Installation event, we also raised $1,236.83 for The Living Tradition Fund, which provides Unitarian Ministry students with scholarships and student loans.
In addition, we held a Clothing Swap on April 1st, which raised $365 for the Wish Drop-In Centre, which provides health and safety support for Vancouver's street sex-trade workers.
These are just some of the ways that we are working to inspire actions in the service of life, both locally and around the world.

Social Action Survey: What do you think?
In their April newsletter article, Revs. Emily & Marcus mentioned focusing on one big Social Action issue for the coming year. They'd like your input on which causes you think our church should focus on, and how we might do that. If you haven't already filled out their Social Action Survey HERE, please take a moment to do it now. Thank you for your input!
