WE LOVE TO LEARN, PLAY AND SING...

The North Shore Unitarians are an inclusive, growing congregation of over 200 adults, 70 children and 20 youth. We come together to explore important life questions and support each other in living with meaning and purpose—and we have a lot of fun and fellowship along the way!  To carry out our mission we offer a full range of programs including Sunday services, religious and spiritual education for all ages, a full music program and much more.

WE embrace REASON AND mystery…

Unitarian Universalist (UU) religious and spiritual perspectives balance reason and belief, intellect and intuition. We are committed to spiritual and ethical values, and our focus is on this world, this life. We seek to empower our members to live their values with integrity, to work for justice and peace in the world, and to respect the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.

WE’RE NON-CREEDAL…

We are a non-creedal spiritual community. We do not require allegiance to any religious dogma for membership or participation. We promote respectful tolerance and religious freedom.

It is our sense that the universe is of such scope—magnificent, vast and mysterious—that no one creed or dogma can encapsulate its entirety. We stand in wonder and awe before the beauty of our universe, hoping to do justice to this gift of life by learning to think and act well, to work for social justice, and to share with one another the insights and truths of our hearts.

WE’RE NOT ALL THE SAME…

We are an intentionally diverse spiritual community, embracing theists, humanists, agnostics, atheists, freethinkers, Buddhists, pagans, persons of many different spiritual paths and traditions, all sharing a desire to grow spiritually, and to learn, serve and celebrate together. We are an inclusive congregation. We are a Welcoming Congregation, and we believe that our differences in age, race, economics or sexual orientation serve to strengthen and deepen our community.

WE’RE INTERNATIONAL IN SCOPE…

Unitarian Universalism is an established international faith tradition. Nationally, we are affiliated with the Canadian Unitarian Council (CUC), and internationally with the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) and the International Council of Unitarians and Universalists (ICUU).
