Art Shows in Our Sanctuary
Each month, our Artarian team arranges for one or more local artists to display their works in our Sanctuary. See the Artarians Biography Manual in the stairway for bios and more info about all of our featured artists.

SYLVIA BAYLEY works in an intuitive and instinctive way using acrylic paints and various mediums to create texture and interest. She commences with no preconceived ideas as to the final creation, but simply embarks on a journey with the canvas and paints.
ELIZABETH AUSTIN grew up on the North Shore, and has been painting and drawing as long as she can remember. Observing nature, she enjoys the challenge of translating her inner vision into reality. Primarily using acrylic on canvas, Elizabeth paints outdoors when the weather cooperates.
In April, the West Vancouver Senior Centre Quilters are excited to display their quilts.
HANS GRAY was born and educated in the UK. He enjoyed drawing and painting from a young age. Hans works mainly in watercolours and acrylics with some explorations into graphite and pastels. When the weather is favourable, Hans works “en plein air”, but also works from photographs he has taken during local hikes and travels.
GHYSLAINE GRAY came from England in the 70’s and has lived in Vancouver on and off since then. She started taking drawing and painting classes about ten years ago and found acrylics to be her preferred medium for plein air work in the beautiful parks and gardens that surround us. When travelling she enjoys doing small ink and watercolour sketches to capture the atmosphere.
