Art Shows in Our Sanctuary
Each month, our Artarian team arranges for one or more local artists to display their works in our Sanctuary. See the Artarians Biography Manual in the stairway for bios and more info about all of our featured artists.
During October, we will display art by Farahnaz (“Farah”) Samari. Farah is inspired by the vivid memories of her childhood in Iran. She started painting in high school, and has been professionally painting for more than twenty-five years. She is an honours graduate in Fine Art & Interior Design at the University of Tehran. In Canada, Farah extended her art education as a graduate of Emily Carr University. She has showcased her art in more than 80 solo and group exhibitions in Iran and Canada, and has participated several times in art battles in Canada. With a flair for the abstract, Farah's art work is highly contemporary and formative, and is increasingly being purchased by collectors, designers and galleries across North America.
Farah says: “I have always wanted for each of my paintings have a hidden meaning behind them. They show movements and changes. . . They show happiness, sorrow, hope, hopelessness, light and darkness. But eventually everything ends in the light”. Her website is https://www.farahnazart.com/.
Our November art show features Jacqui Manning. (Bio and images coming soon).
